simplemerge's extension

Is adding the .py extension enough to make in run directly on windows?
AIUI, when you install Python, it sets things up so that you can execute
a .py file directly (which is good), but will a simplemerge.py be able
to find the modules installed by hg?  I don't think so (but I'm just
guessing).

I was thinking of maybe changing setup.py so that py2exe compiles it
into an exe, just like hg - but I've never touched the windows
setup/installer stuff...
