New submission from Andrei Gaponenko <agaponenko at lbl.gov>:

Hi,

When doing hg outgoing/push/pull/... over ssh to one of the systems I
use, a few lines of the real Mercurial output are swamped by tons of
stuff like:

remote: ........
remote: Any or all uses of this system and all files on this system may be
remote: intercepted, monitored, recorded, copied, audited, inspected, and
remote: .......
remote: ....... [couple more screen pages]

It would be nice to be able to tell Mercurial to swallow the banner.

If the ssh protocol makes this difficult to implement, a solution may
be to require a user to put the exact text of the banners he wants to
ignore into a set of some kind of "banner-ignore" files in Mercurial
configuration, and filter out the matching output from the server.

Regards,
Andrei
