Try http://users.bigpond.net.au/Peter-Williams/gdt.tar.gz.  It's only in 
the early stages of development but is a PyGTK GUI wrapper for 
mercurial.  One of its features is a visual display of a repository's 
working directory and this may (partly) meet your needs.
