CVS server (a.k.a. gateway) experiments

Hallo!

I've been hacking at a CVS server extension for a bit, but I'm now way 
past my knowledge of the Mercurial internals. I got the code to support
   cvs checkout
which I guess is of some use, but not a whole lot.

Maybe someone can point me at some internal documentation? 
Unfortunately, I don't have a lot of time to work on this. I've attached 
the current code, so that perhaps someone else can use it.
