During my recent long path patch orgy, this would have
catched some errors which slipped through the whole
testsuite but which I discovered by manual testing
(before sending my patches).

The focus of this test change is around the handling of
opener objects and the new store module.

I can provide more detail if it is needed in order to
get this patch included.
