[issue990] cvsps -A -u --cvs-direct hangs, causing hg convert to hang

An internal CVS repo I am using causes cvsps to hang with --cvs-direct, but
works without it. This seems to be a corrupted file, or a bug in cvsps, but it
would be nice to have a workaround in hg convert

Can we add a command line option to hg convert to remove the --cvs-direct
argument to cvsps?
