[issue1951] rebase aborts with corrupt repository

based on Issue1950, without using --keepbranches rebase aborts with 
abort: 00changelog.i at e05f73f10f4f: no node!

I used recent crew repositories (1.4.1+45-5b9709f81986). The bug can be 
reproduced with the attached script.
