Yes. I removed the cache and it doesn't crash any longer without that
patch. Though it's highly annoying that it now needs to download all
history again.

I think the cache needs a versioning system (i.e. a simple number in the
first line) so that builtin cvsps can detect itself when it should
ignore a present cache.

Also, the cvs tests using builtin cvsps should remove their cache files
when they're done with them.
