FWIW, from a translation POV:

- additional whole messages / paragraphs are usually fine, since they'll
simply add separate new messages (for multi-paragraph help texts we'll get
mixed language output);

- any minor change (even a single character) invalidates the whole message /
paragraph until the catalog is updated, but the previous translation is kept
as a fuzzy entry, so the update process is usually quick;

- big changes (including splitting or joining paragraphs) tend to discard the
whole previous translation, so the whole message may have to be translated again;

- the i18n repo tracks main, not crew: translation updates for messages
changed in crew will usually wait until those changes reach main.
