Hello everyone,

TL;DR; we need a volunteer to handle the (small amount of) paper work
related to GSOC 2016 for Mercurial.

The Google Summer of Code is a program that encourage student to
contribute to open source project during the summer with monetary
incentive. It is fairly good program when it goes well.

As we already have at least one student doing some contribution to
Mercurial, it would nice be part of it this year.

Basic timing is as follow:
- Project application: Feb 8th → 19th
- Student application: March 14th → 25th
- Actual coding period: May 22th → August 23th

We (The Mercurial project) can take part in two ways:
- Applying as an organization,
- Asking the Python Software Foundation to take us under its umbrella
(easiest route)

But in order to participate, we need someone from the community to take
the lead on this, making sure we talk to the right people, providing the
right document and getting us in. If you are interested in helping the
Mercurial project on this aspect, please email me.

Cheers,
