Ewwww, drawing in TeX. I am ... less than thrilled by the prospect.
The only ideas that fill me with more dread are 1) using Inkscape, 2)
using LibreOffice Draw, or 3) writing SVG manually. IOW, as near as I
can tell, all options suck.
Tell ya what: can you do one of the more complex figures in the new
evolve user guide (figure 2?) with TikZ, and then show us what it
looks like? And what tools are required to process the resulting
source files?
