What I remember:
 * No patches against upstream hg (notably nothing to comply with debian fs layout pedantry)
 * No meaningful changelog
 * I believe debian unbundles some vendored code, which we don’t bother to do

It should install just fine and have a sensible version number for all of your other debian things, but I can’t promise I got it right either. :)
