Any way to prevent Evolve's `metaedit` from opening the message?

Oh. Yes, I see that metaedit with the these options (e.g. -D or -U) brings 
up the editor as well. Sorry for the noise. One really should not write 
these messages late at night.

Anyway, Anton Shestakov's method works for me. Does it work for you?
