The web site is polling known locations of latest.dat files. This is mine:
https://tortoisehg.bitbucket.io/latest.dat
it is a simple tab delimited format. You just need to export such a file and someone needs to figure out how to add this to the polled file list.
I will remove the non-thg packages from my latest.dat
