Nice.

It'd be nicer if it works for commit too, and enabled on MPM repo. That way
any new changesets added to MPM will be reported to the mailing list right
away, instead of having to depend on a 'mirror' repo, which feel rather
strange.

Also, once your script is confirmed to work for commit/push/pull, then
perhaps it can be added to contrib too.
