python2.2: worth supporting?

Did you see my patch in the list archive?

It was only a first step at python2.2 compatibility, but there were
more important issues to be solved by that time.

I think it is, because many web servers (where you might want to
host a mercurial repo) still have only python2.2, so the most
important might be getting hgweb to run.
