I agree that hgweb is not optimized to support a high level of traffic, but the
multiple repositories support is useful when there are multiple branch to publish.
And "hg serve" is the simplest method to publish one or more repositories ( think a windows
enviroment ).
I never mind to multiple request....

I agree; the goal is to add this feature to both hgweb.cgi and "hg serve" with the
minimal effort.

I will work to refine my patch, in order to mett your request; time to time i will post
it in the mailing list to collect suggestions and/or comments.
