Our use model is pretty simple. We have a main server with a quasi 
flat structure of Mercurial repositories of projects, libraries, 
tools, ... from which we build working trees with project specific 
layouts, the project being the toplevel repository. The forest 
extension helps us to push and pull change sets between the main 
server and our working trees, and it allows us to take snapshots of 
the state of all the working trees for a given project revision.
