I realize I'm joining the discussion a bit late (have been without
email for a few days), but I've introduced about 4 or 5 users to hg,
separately, and so far all but one has been very confused by the ssh
syntax and try by default to use something like the syntax suggested
by Sebastien. Perhaps this is because these people are used to SVN,
which uses Sebastien's syntax (approximately).
I think it's unfortunate that something we can basically all agree is
counterintuitive is staying as-is, just because of "standards
compliance" in an area where the most common tools using the standard
(scp, svn) aren't compliant.
Diverging from a standard for no reason makes no sense, but to me
there is a compelling reason to change.
