OT: tailor and CVS question

I know it may be OT but here it goes.

I'm using tailor to migrate some of my CVS proyects to hg and everything 
goes OK except that tailor copies the CVS directorys. Why is it? Is it 
so that one can go back to CVS?

I'm really not interested in going back, and even though .hgignore has 
(^|/)CVS($|/), I would like to know if those directories can be removed.

The real question would be: Does tailor copy the CVS directories only to 
be able to go back to CVS?
