I wonder what the "Daggy Fix" technique buys you exactly, especially in 
a Mercurial context.

Fixing bugs as new heads of the changeset introducing them allow fixes 
to be pulled from any repository derived from the one containing the 
bug. But you will have to merge the fix eventually which is usually part 
of the bug fixing process.

Does anybody fix bugs this way? Are the merge costs/risks low enough to 
make it practical?
