Guido, potentially others that might be interested, I continuously find
myself struggling for time.  So I just "dumped" what I had, added a brief
README, and will let you have it.  It's not in a shape to be published, but
maybe someone is interested picking it up for whatever purpose.

I didn't think about any kind of copyright because I'm not sure yet it will
be useful.  If you republish it let's talk about a copy-right or -left
statement at that time.

I sort & group file changes by time and checkin comment, pulling changes
that are "close" in time and have the same comment into a common changeset.
Then I sort changesets in dependency order (can't apply a  file change with
a higher version number before one with a lower) and time, and replay them
into the SCM system.  More in the README.
