wiki front page: link to new page ProjectInformation

Would it be possible to keep the wiki in mercurial instead of a single
instance which is edited in place? Apologies if this is a FAQ, but I
was just ruminating on how being aggressive in reorging the definitive
wiki pages could potentially make for a rough time for incoming
community members seeking documentation. For example if I understand
it correctly Adrian made a slightly controversial change and then
reverted, so people new to the project would have seen the furniture
moving around as they walked in the front door (metaphorically
speaking).
Certainly for pages that I thought were a bit rough back when I was
trying to understand a bit about the tool for the first time it didn't
occur to me that I could just fix the pages once I understood more,
perhaps I just expect more process than is in place here (and don't
get me wrong, I don't want to introduce more than is strictly
necessary).
