Mercurial 1.1: hg clone & update leave files modified

I think i reproduced this issue on my linux:
$ hg clone firefox3b1
fx-test
updating working
directory
34867 files updated, 0 files merged, 0 files removed, 0 files
unresolved
$ cd
fx-test/
$ hg status
-mard
$ hg diff --git
$ hg verify
checking changesets
checking manifests
crosschecking files in changesets and manifests
checking files
40192 files, 20103 changesets, 103098 total revisions
$ hg debugfsinfo
exec: yes
symlink: yes
case-sensitive: yes
