abort: outstanding uncommitted changes?

That feels rather strange to me. 

hg commit saves the changes I did to files, but that it doesn't remove deleted 
files carries the danger that others can get a non working repository from me, 
while my local version works. 

Shouldn't commit at least warn, that there are deleted files which will not be 
committed unless verified with hg rm?
