Question on work-flow for big binary files

This would be a (-nother) killer feature for me! 

Currently we have versioned OpenOffice files in our repository (Designing a 
rleplaying world with tables, simple styled text and similar), which compress 
horribly. 

If they could be versioned efficiently, we could much improve our workflow.
