Yes, I did try it out.  It seems to work pretty well, but it looks like
it uses a number of undocumented keywords.  I wish there was a better
list of what can be used, and how it all fits together.  The man page is
rather lacking. :(  Oh well, good enough I guess.

Ok, thanks.  I am actually going to try to make this the default,
probably by replacing
.../lib/python2.6/site-packages/mercurial/templates/map-cmdline.default
.
