hiding email addresses in hg log

hi,

i am thinking of opening my repository to the public (right now it
requires authentication).  i was wondering if there is a way to hide
the users' email addresses in the logs for non-authenticated users.
(i know it's a free form field, so my guess would be no.)  if not, is
there an easy way to go back to all the logs to remove the user's
email address?

or, does anyone have any good suggestions on how to handle this.
while i want to open the repository, i don't want to get spammed.
