Finding last revision a deleted file is still existing

Ok, I think the subject already outlines my question. Today I had the problem that I knew that a certain file was existing in a directory, but was not there any longer; deleted in one of the previous changesets.

Now I browsed through the log and after some search I managed to locate changeset in which the file was deleted and could restore the last version.

Now I wonder: is there a more elegant option to do that? Sort of a find commando that locates files even if they are not in the current version?
