Case for rebase?

I have made a couple of changes on one of my repos which turned out to have been a little too quickly pushed into the master repo... :(

Two questions now:

1) I want to move the latest few changesets into a dedicated branch. How can that be accomplished? Is this a case for rebase perhaps?

2) When I have made the required changes to my clone (perhaps using rebase), is it now possible to just push the changes upwards to my master repo at bitbucket?
