I made a quick test, and it looks like convert does something funny to the
target repository...
The actual culprit is the last exclude in the filemap:
exclude dbgen/cantroid_d.json

If this is included, the conversion process fails
  (fname is admin/MapEdit.html and cfname is templates/map_edit.html)

What's even more intesting is the fact that after that, the conversion
process cannot
finish, even if no filemap is given. That is, you can't continue the
process by calling "hg convert ... src dst",
you actually have to remove the target repository first to have
convert start anew...

cantroid_d.json was renamed to cantroid.json, but I don't think it was
in the revision that is
failing now...
