Please don't cross-post. People who reply to your mail might not be 
subscribed to the other mailing list and might thus fail to send and 
receive mails - and their posting ends up in a context where it wasn't 
intended.

If you have found a bug in Mercurial then it would better to file it in 
Mercurials bug tracker.

A similar bug was fixed in 1.9.1, but you are right that there is 
another bug (in localpath). A fix for that will be released September 
1st - or it can be found soon in the development repo.
