zeroconf having effects on commands besides serve and paths?

Tested again with this idea in mind, re-enabled zeroconf and selectively
enabled each third-party extension individually. Looks like the culprit
is hggit. Opening an issue there, thanks for having taken the time to
correct my incorrect "findings".
