Hi,
I’m going over the text of mercurial.selenic.com right now, because I am not completely happy with the current wording (anymore). My gripe is about the fast and powerful part.
Currently it sounds like this:
Mercurial efficiently handles projects of any size and kind. Every
clone contains the whole project history, so most actions are
local, fast and convenient. You can use it for a multitude of
workflows and easily enhance its functionality with extensions.
I feel a gap in the text directly before “You”, and I don’t like that.
So I tried the following:
Mercurial efficiently handles projects of any size and kind. Every
clone contains the whole project history, so most actions are
local, fast and convenient. Mercurial supports a multitude of
workflows and you can easily enhance its functionality with
extensions.
Sadly this now has a repetition of Mercurial. That can be good (it
establishes “Mercurial efficiently” and “Mercurial supports”), but I’m
not sure if it offsets the problem of repeating the same word.
What do you think? Do you have other suggestions for that part?
Best wishes,
Arne
PS: If you have suggestions for other parts of the page, feel free to
say so, too!
