Statistic Question for number of file changes

Hi,

 

what is the best way to get a statistic of how often each file under
version control is changed? I have looked through the available
extensions and I saw only statistics of changes for each user.

 

Before I start to write a script that goes through the whole repository
and records such changes I wanted to see if there is already a solution
before I re-invent the wheel.
