I hate Hg extensions

The problem here is that people have different ideas of how Hg should work, and
so there are now several versions of Hg 'in the wild'. I've been through the
same hair pulling over the last few months, and TortoiseHg was just a part of
the problem. YES this has nothing to do with Hg, but it is a fact that Hg simply
can't exist in isolation - otherwise it will be as bad a git!
We need SOMETHING in the core of Hg that manages extensions a little better so
that third party versions don't have to create their own management tools?
TortoiseHg is simply breaking the rules and installs it's own version of Hg -
destroy that and get TortoiseHg looking at your primary installation and things
start to work with the OTHER extensions such as connecting to SVN and git.
What is needed is a little more cooperation between development teams rather
than simply sticking two fingers up at the extensions that many people need
simply to use even the Basic Hg ...
