I’m definitely interested! I’ve long wished to be able to include Mercurial as 
a plugin in Freenet using jython: Anonymous DVCS.

I’ve been pestering ronny from #mercurial @ irc.freenode.net about his work on 
Mercurial over jython, but I did not manage to push myself towards doing the 
hard parts myself… 

Ronny also worked on Mercurial over pypy, which has some similar problems. I 
don’t know the status of his work (though pypy now uses Mercurial as main VCS)

Additionally there is the patch queue from danchr, which might still contain 
some important fixes for jython:

And there is the old mercurial-crew-jython, but that’s from 2 years ago: 
→ http://hg.telking.com/mfriedenhagen/mercurial-crew-jython/changesets

So, you might be in for a hard ride, but if you can get Mercurial to work on 
jython, you’ll make quite a few people happy! (including me)
