Well, from interacting with thousands of n00bs, I'm beginning to suspect
the quickstart does more harm than good. Having people commit and merge
without any mental model of the underlying DAG seems to cause lots of
trouble.

Seems to work for me on Firefox on Linux, Chrome exhibits the cut-off.
This is apparently due to a disagreement on what font / point size to
use.
