100s of thousands of hgtstatus files

Sorry yes, thgstatus is what I meant, sorry about that.  (I had deleted the files so had to guess from memory)
We are using v2.9.1 of tortoisehg.

On several people's machines here we found 100k+ of these files.  The repo is very large (60+ gigabytes) with 10s of thousands of files.
