I don't see where that came from ...
None of the distributed version control options offer an ideal solution for 
anything other than text files. Hg works a lot better for me than GIT while 
allowing transparent access to the projects where arrogance pushed them to git 
far too early and we are left with the resultant confusion with DVCS, SVN and 
CVS still providing alternatives which have their own strengths  still today!
