+1
I've been using Git to access work-related repositories and tools
for the past 1.5 year too, and I completely understand where Alan
is coming from. It's nearly impossible to use Git without spending
an inordinate amount of time to understand what happens beneath the
surface. Then there are cases when you *do* understand what's going
on under the surface, but it just smells awful.
At first I thought of switching to Git for my personal repositories
too, because of "familiarity" after using Git for a while at work.
Now, I am convinced I don't have to do anything with Git, it I can
avoid it.
I can talk for hours about things which annoy me about Git, but that's
not a productive use of everyone's time. All I want to say is that you
have my thanks too, on top of Alan's.
Thank you!
