Updating mercurial in Ubuntu 14.04 LTS

Hi,
Your problem is not with mercurial but tortoisehg.
I suggest you to look at the TortoiseHg PPA :
https://launchpad.net/~tortoisehg-ppa/
There is not yet any update for Trusty now.
If you need absolutly the last hg version, build thg from the source.
