why is merc better than fossil? (please, not a flame starter)

What I like most in Fossil is its integrated, distributed bug tracker.
Peter Miller's Aegis and Fossil are the only free (D)VCS' (I know of)
which support this. So you can save the hassle of setting up an
additional tool for bug tracking AND integrating it with your VCS. The
same is true for the integrated wiki. If you need one but don't want to
setup an additional one, go with Fossil.

If you need none of those things take Mercurial or Git.

Not sure about integration with other tools, like Jenkins for example.
If you need this, you may or may not be lost with Fossil.
