Refrain from adding new remote bookmarks?

Hi all,

Is there a way to refrain from adding new remote bookmarks?  For instance,
if I pull a hash from someone else's repo, all the bookmarks related to the
entire DAG back to null are added to my repo.  In situations where we use
bookmarks a lot to do local development, it would be nice to be able to
pull without getting the remote bookmarks.
