Mercurial slow, impoosible to clone/pull/push

Then it is probably not the storage mechanism per se that causes your problems. A 10MB revlog is nothing that Mercurial should choke on, I've got 10 times bigger revlogs often enough to know that those work without troubles.

Have you tried to run a clone/pull with the "--config ui.usehttp2=true" option set? Perhaps it is a timeout issue. These I often see with big repositories here.
