hg-zipdoc extension

Ok I cloned hg-stable and run
make local

Then I tried it out it worked, but when I run

/home/oub/src/hg-stable/hg diff -r 3 -r 0
I just obtain
Binary file testoo.odt has changed

This is all? So what is the purpose of that package?
