lol!  Very well said.  I've been using mercurial as a git client
lately (hg-git keeps me sane) and I just kind of ignore bookmarks
until it's time to push.  Just before pushing I use hg bookmark -f to
put the bookmark where it belongs.  I'm fine with whatever behavior
the more serious bookmark users prefer.

It's probably true that there aren't many git to hg people left in the
world now.
