One of them, Andrey Loskutov, replied to you and he knows something
about MercurialEclipse (based on [1] and my own impression).

(EGit dev hat on) From my PoV, MercurialEclipse is too complex to start
hacking on (based on 1 year old experience which may not relevant now)
and get the final product with your modifications. Yes, finally, with
some Maven-fu I was able to provision a working workspace in a
reproducible way but I've ran out of time. In case of EGit, such task is
almost a no-brainer.
