Source-server support

Hi. Our company uses mercurial, and I'm trying to integrate it with VS's source server functionality - essentially, to be able to automatically get source versions matching a particular binary or dump.
It seems the only non-MS supported SCM is perforce (https://docs.microsoft.com/en-us/windows-hardware/drivers/debugger/source-indexing), but the SrcSrv subfolder in the debugging tools for windows includes also svn and cvs integration perl scripts.
The closest I found is this work (https://wiki.cdot.senecacollege.ca/wiki/Add_Source_Server_Support_for_Mercurial) which is unofficial, and frankly I can't make heads nor tails of.
Did anyone have success integrating Hg with SrcSrv?
