hg-git plugin import fails, subdir

Hi

Has somebody experienced this behavior.

When trying to clone a git repo, the following message pops up

importing git objects into hg updating to branch default abort: 
git subrepos not allowed (see 'hg help config.subrepos' for 
details) 

So from the help it is not clear what to do.
Shall I add an entry to my global .hgrc file like
[subrepos]
git:allowed

Shall I edit the half cloned repo and edit the .subrepos file?
Since the clone process fails, it seems that I should delete the 
unfished repo and start freshly again. I am not sure however. Any 
help would be appreciated.
